Ongoing Projects: 2009-2010 - Snow Leopard Project, Altai and Mongolia, research and design a new model of conservation that puts indigenous wisdom and sacred sites in the center of Snow Leopard preservation. The Snow Leopard is a central cultural icon to Central Asia indigenous peoples making this a cultural rescue project as well as a conservation project.
2010 - International Women's Conference, Lahaina, Hawaii, WISN, with United Kingdom partner Glastonbury Goddess Temple Inc., organize and deliver an international women's conference dedicated to the restoration and renewal of Moku'ula, designated an International Heritage site. Organized a local women's network for on-going programs in human development. This is an annual event.
2009 - Thunder Dreamer Project, International, research and development; identify Elders and Partners. The goal is to link the WISN international network of elders with women committed to restoring deep ecological skills and practices of an ancient order of indigenous science.
2008 - Uluu Ot (Sacred Fire) Annual Event, Kyrgyzstan provide indigenous expertise to facilitate the renewal of the Kyrgyz Sacred Fire, bringing together a global interfaith indigenous gathering in a predominantly Muslim community.
2006 - Networking Sacred Site Practitioners Project, link Cultural Practitioners, their wisdom, knowledge and traditions, in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Ethiopia with indigenous healers worldwide. Networking opened up new insights and inspirations within the cultures, bringing oral histories to life and revealing paths towards healing and renewal.
2006 - Center for Indigenous Questions, Ethiopia, international peace gathering for Ethiopian tribal healers presently under assault by both Islamic and Christian Fundamentalists.
2002 - Global White Lion Trust, Hoedspruit, South Africa, Secured the freedom of a rare male white lion; arranged for an international book contract and major Hollywood film. Serve on Advisory Board.
2001 - Indigenous Mind Program, Hawaii, Designed and deliver the world's first advanced degree program taught from an indigenous perspective and linking with the best of western thought. |
